Swindon STW activists leaflet Michael Wills' surgery

Members of the Swindon Stop the War Coalition recently attended one of Michael Wills' surgeries in Stratton St Margaret. Michael Wills, MP for Swindon North, was totally in favour of war with Iraq.
We unfurled a Swindon Stop the War Coalition banner outside the community centre in Grange Drive, chatted with local people going into the meeting, and handed out leaflets. Most of those attending were interested in what we had to say, with many expressing abhorrence about the war. Not so Michael Wills. On arrival he rushed over, huffing and puffing, and accused us of interrupting his meeting. We tried to point out that the meeting hadn't yet started - everyone was waiting for him - but this seemed to incense him further. At that point we left as the point of our campaign was to peacefully protest about the war, and we had no wish to interfere in constituency business.
In Stop the War Coalition, we believe all MPs who voted to attack Iraq should be held to account for their actions, if not in court then at the ballot box. See you another time Michael!
